First Baptist Church of Hammond

The students of Hyles-Anderson College have the privilege of being a part of the worldwide ministry of First Baptist Church of Hammond, Indiana. It is here that their classroom training is made practical as they help to reach a lost world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. They are able to become a part of one of the many ministries and outreach programs, helping to reach souls with the Gospel as well as helping to build lives.

After 41 years under the leadership of Dr. Jack Hyles, this independent, fundamental, local, Baptist church continues to expand under the leadership of Dr. Jack Schaap. With a growth of over 700 in 2006, this ministry has continued to see the hand of God bless.

The First Baptist Church has opened her arms of influence across America and around the world. At present there are over 1,000 pastors and missionaries who have been sent out from this ministry, and they, in turn, are influencing thousands.

For the Hyles-Anderson College student, First Baptist Church is the best classroom. It is here that the students are able to hear Spirit-filled preaching, thus changing their lives forever.
